Masami Kawabata, a porcelain artist based in Hasami, Nagasaki, finds inspiration in the transitional works of traditional ceramics from the Old Karatsu, Early Imari, and Old Imari periods. She extracts and reconfigures these elements to express "wavering" and "subtlety" in her pieces.
