Ayoo Naoki Kanazawa
Solo Exhibition
“Savor the Moment”
Ceramicist Naoki Kanazawa’s exhibition starts Saturday, 16th September
Saturday 16th - Sunday 24th September
Ceramicist Naoki Kanazawa, also known as Ayoo, will be holding a solo exhibition at our Nakameguro store in Tokyo next week.
Born and raised in Shimoshima, one of the Amakusa Islands in Kumamoto Prefecture, Naoki Kanazawa was born into a family of potters and has been practicing ceramics since the age of 18. Last year, he and his wife Ayoo Sachi established their own studio and artist name “Ayoo,” creating artworks inspired by the beautiful natural landscape of Amakusa.
His creations include practical daily tableware, vases, and other small objects, infused with a distinctive “Ayoo essence.”
In the midst of our busy days, we sometimes need time to pause and return to ourselves, if only for a moment.
Savoring a cup of coffee during a moment of respite.
Getting lost in a good book, or immersing yourself in music.
Carefully crafting a recipe you love, and relishing its taste.
Or simply doing nothing for a little while.
Let's savor these gentle moments of life with the pottery of Naoki Kanazawa.
In this exhibition, you'll find a diverse range of ceramics, from long-running favorites to brand-new creations making their debut. There will be an extensive lineup that seamlessly blends into your daily life. Please pick them up and imagine the “moments” that fit best into your day-to-day.
This solo exhibition will be held at Coverchord Nakameguro, and a special display will be provided by edenworks flower shop in Yoyogi Uehara.
