Decorate Freely
Flowers and Greenery
There are no strict rules for decorating your space with flowers and greenery.
A vase isn’t the only tool for arranging blooms.
Everyday items like plates, bowls, glasses, or pitchers can be transformed into charming flower vessels with a bit of creativity.
We’ve teamed up with florist Akiko to share simple styling tips and ideas for pairing flowers with unconventional vessels.
Enjoy a carefree and personal approach to living with plants.

For welcoming guests, style your dining table with a flat plate for an added touch of playfulness and charm. This unique arrangement makes for a delightful centerpiece.
Combine the blooms of Ranunculus with Camellia leaves, creating a layered and lush display. When using a flat plate as a flower vessel, pre-moistening the ceramic helps maintain the arrangement’s freshness.

A sturdy, statement vase has the presence to beautifully showcase even the boldest arrangements.
For the vase by Ayoo Naoki Kanazawa, inspired by the soft patterns of morning haze, we’ve paired orchid blooms and Epidendrum leaves.
Completing the arrangement is Hikage no Kazura, a fern-like plant with vine-like spread, adding the perfect accent to the composition.

Pair a hyacinth bulb with a bowl from WASHIZUKA GLASS STUDIO.
One of the joys of spring flowers is admiring their roots, and this arrangement makes full use of the transparent beauty of glass.
The key is to keep the water level low.
A simple single-stem vase placed quietly on a wooden tray enhances its beauty.
By eliminating unnecessary decoration, the presence of the forget-me-not flower truly stands out.

Pair tulips, a flower that evokes early spring even in the cold season, with the Nordic craft-inspired water jug by Mahito Kudo Potter.
Let the stems lean naturally against the spout for a balanced look. Trim any leaves that might touch the water by gently rotating a blade along the stem.
To keep the flowers fresh, maintaining clean water is essential.

Native to South Africa, Lachenalia is known for its unique shape.
While blue vases may seem challenging, they are versatile players that beautifully enhance a variety of colors.
Pair the black-rusted vase by ITARU MORIYAMA with sweet peas and butterbur from the garden.
Whether with purchased blooms or simple, natural flowers from your surroundings, embrace the beauty of unpretentious arrangements.

Pair the dynamic, twisting branches of Cloud Dragon Plum with Japanese andromeda.
Use a flat vase and arrange with depth to create a sense of dimension.
Add a touch of clubmoss for a striking accent.
