We look back at the decade-long partnership between nonnative and GRAMICCI

For the last ten years, nonnative and GRAMICCI have been offering up new iterations of archetypical climbing pants with new high-performance fabrics and updated silhouettes.

The collaboration series consists of two models, the standard/slim fitting CLIMBER EASY PANTS, and the more relaxed WALKER EASY PANTS.

Both styles come in full-length pants and shorts versions, each of which features GRAMICCI’s signature gusseted crotch, for 180-degree mobility, and cinch-and-release belt and buckle system.

 Constructed from a range of carefully selected fabrics, each model is specially designed to cater to different seasonal conditions.

Two of the most popular models from this series have been further updated and will be available from this Saturday, August 27th.

Produced by Japanese textile developers Daiichi Orimono, Pliantex® is both windproof and high-stretch – a combination of functional qualities previously thought impossible in a non-laminated material.

The two-pleat construction of the WALKER EASY PANTS offers a breezy, relaxed silhouette with plenty of room around the hips and thighs. The COOLMAX® fabric provides UV-protection, moisture-wicking properties and is quick-drying.

The soft cotton-like texture of COOLMAX® combined with the casual/chic two-pleat design also makes them a versatile styling option.

POLY TWILL Pliantex® 

This version of the WALKER EASY PANTS is crafted from Pliantex®, a polyester twill fabric that provides breathable protection against the wind and rain, while also maintaining an elastic stretch – unique for a non-laminated technical fabric.

The matte texture with low sheen allows for easy pairing with a variety of textures and styles.
