COFFEE DYED SERIES
The ongoing collaboration series
Now in a new coffee-dyed finish
TRUCK FURNITURE and HOBO share a passion for crafting beautiful products. Osaka’s TRUCK is globally renowned for its offering of minimally designed furnishings.
Tokyo-based HOBO is known for its seasonal offering of utilitarian bags, handcrafted accessories, and footwear. The two brands’ 2016 TAKIBI BAR collaboration series introduced a collection of multi-use products centered around a campfire theme.
Now in its fifth iteration, the collaboration has streamlined and matured, suitable for use at camp or at home.
The new lineup consists of an updated version of TRUCK’s popular TSP Folding Low Chair and a solid oak table, designed to be used in conjunction with the chair. A large, sturdy, all-purpose tote bag completes the series.
Reused coffee beans from SIDEWALK COFFEE STAND in Nakameguro, Tokyo, and Bird in Tsurumi-ku, Osaka, coffee shops affiliated with the two brands, are used in the coffee dyeing process to express the natural deep beige color of the canvas.
The result is an earthy, sophisticated set of items that offers a leisurely setting around the campfire, on the patio, or in the living room.

FOLDING CHAIR
COTTON CANVAS COFFEE DYED
The best-selling TSP Folding Low Chair by TRUCK is originally based on the British Army Land Rover chair used during the Second World War.
Sturdy, easy to fold, and stackable, TRUCK’s version retains the fundamental mechanism and wooden armrests but features a lowered seat for a more relaxed posture.
The seat and backrest are constructed with No. 6 canvas, which has been densely woven on an antique shuttle loom before being dyed with coffee beans and specially treated for a softer finish. As is typical of HOBO’s products, the color and texture are designed to deepen with time.
The removable cushions are a new feature, offering firm support for increased comfort when relaxing and chatting with friends around a fire or at home. The aluminum frame has a rough matte finish to reduce hand-slip and give it a warm, vintage texture.
The oak wood armrests have been carefully coffee-dyed to match the beige color of the fabric, providing consistency in the way the color develops.

WOOD FOLDING LOW TABLE
The updated low folding table features a solid oak top that matches the armrests and canvas of the chair, with knots and grain intact for an exquisite one-of-a-kind finish that will gain character with use.
The table top sits higher and is double the size of the previous model, increasing utility for a gathering of friends. As with the chair, the textured aluminum legs can be folded for compact storage when not in use.
