For the first time since 2017, nonnative and Timberland have teamed up to release an updated version of the renowned EURO HIKER boot.
Born in 1988, the EURO HIKER integrated the design of popular European hiking boots while incorporating a lightweight sole that provided a comfortable wearing experience akin to sneakers.
Amongst the traditionally sturdy hiking boots of the time, the EURO HIKER stood out with Timberland's distinctive authentic design and lightweight durability.
It revolutionized outdoor activities by making day hikes more accessible to the average person, while simultaneously making a significant impact on the streetwear scene at the time.
For this special project, the EURO HIKER has been revamped with nonnative’s signature coloring and materials.
The TAUPE colored upper combines long-haired suede leather and CORDURA® fabric, achieving a contrast of textures while maintaining lightweight functionality.
The lining uses the environmentally conscious original eco-material "ReBOTL™," embodying Timberland's belief that a “greener future is a better future”.
The stitching harmoniously combines white and black, while the tongue and embossed logo adopt the same color, presenting a minimalist design aesthetic.
Finally, the matte silver eyelets blend seamlessly with the upper material, resulting in a stylish impression that reduces the ruggedness typically associated with trekking shoes.
The EURO HIKER has been reborn as a refined and sophisticated footwear option, seamlessly bridging the gap between outdoor and urban environments. Practical and versatile, these boots complement both long pants and shorts and remain stylish even on muddy adventures. The Timberland × nonnative EURO HIKER will be available on Saturday, May 27th.
