COVERCHORD primarily focuses on lifestyle ceramics by domestic artisans, but they also carry pieces from international artists.
For instance, in Los Angeles, California, there's Beth Katz's pottery brand, MT. WASHINGTON POTTERY, where she quietly creates her pieces.
Fusing the Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi" with Scandinavian design principles of "modernity," her works embody both practicality and beauty.

As for myself, I am particularly drawn to this utensil holder. Its color scheme of white and brown exudes sophistication, yet its rugged and bold design captured my heart. I love how each product has its own individuality.
Simply placing it in the kitchen instantly elevates its ambiance. I also believe it would shine as a vase in any home.

On a side note, Beth's background is quite fascinating. Despite her childhood spent with clay, she initially pursued a career as a makeup artist in the fashion and advertising industries, eventually becoming the creative director of a women's magazine before transitioning to her current path as a potter. Quite a versatile career path indeed.
The various experiences, environments, and aesthetic sensibilities she has cultivated all come together to create these beautiful pieces. Knowing that the maker's life itself is imbued in these creations, I feel a deep attachment to them.
