HARADAMAHO
POTTERY

New Pottery from HARADAMAHO has arrived!
Before joining COVERCHORD, I had never worked with this type of product. When I started here, I was deeply moved by HARADAMAHO's work. Even as an amateur, I could immediately recognize how special and well-crafted her pieces are.
Maho employs a technique called neriage, which involves creating patterns not by glazing, but by layering colored clays mixed with pigments. These patterned clay slabs are shaped into forms using molds, creating intricate designs reminiscent of cross-sections of kintaro-ame candies. This method requires exceptional skill and patience, as many pieces can break during firing. The resulting works beautifully convey meticulous craftsmanship and persistence.
HARADAMAHO's unique perspective shines through in every piece, with petite, practical sizing, soft color palettes, and catchy names that reflect her distinctive world. These pieces not only add a vibrant touch to your meals but also make striking additions to your interior decor.
This summer, we’re excited to announce that COVERCHORD will host HARADAMAHO’s first solo exhibition. It’ll be a rare opportunity to explore the diverse expressions of her work. Stay tuned!
