Craft gin has been quite the trend lately, with a huge variety of unique flavors.
You can really feel the dedication of each distillery and brand, and enjoy their distinct characteristics and aromas. I've been enjoying craft gin quite a bit myself too.

As a staff member at BAR Kurage, a place known for its wide selection of shochu, I'd like to recommend Komaki Gin. It's a Japanese craft gin produced by Komaki Brewery, a maker of shochu, which was established in 1909.

It's delicious, and it truly embodies a Japanese essence.
It's based on sweet and fragrant Japanese sweet potato shochu, enhanced with six botanicals harvested in Satsuma.
Personally, I find the prominent aromas of Nankou Japanese plum, Green peppercorn, and citrus peel to be exhilarating and unmistakably Japanese.

My recommendation is to enjoy it with a soda, served ice-cold. The refreshing and crisp combination is incredibly satisfying! It's perfect for savoring the end of the Japanese summer. Cheers!
