KAPTAIN SUNSHINE
WOOL COAT

As the vermilion evening sky gives way to night earlier and earlier, the changing seasons are becoming increasingly apparent.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Lately, I’ve been spending my days off watching films made around the year I was born.
In one of the films I watched recently, an actor was wearing a long coat. There was something effortlessly cool about the way he threw it on, how it moved in the wind, and even the way he draped it over a sofa when visiting someone.
Ever since, I’ve found myself wanting a coat of my own. And the WOOL CAVALRY WALKER COAT from KAPTAIN SUNSHINE might be just what I’ve been looking for.
The fabric combines ultra-fine Super 120’s wool with Bluefaced Leicester, considered one of the finest British wool breeds. Woven at a high density, it has a firm structure while maintaining a beautifully smooth texture.
The design may appear simple at first glance, but it is full of the practical details KAPTAIN SUNSHINE is known for. The collar can be turned up for a stand-collar look, while raglan sleeves and a deep center vent allow for ease of movement.
Above all, the A-line silhouette is exceptional when worn. It works just as well with casual outfits as it does thrown over a suit, just like the actor in the film.
Its understated design allows the quality of the fabric and the beauty of the silhouette to speak for themselves.
In recent years, I’ve personally gravitated toward shorter jackets. But there’s something about putting on a beautifully tailored long coat that makes you stand a little taller. It brings a sense of excitement that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Whether you’ve always loved long coats or have been wearing mostly shorter jackets lately, this is a piece I can confidently recommend as a timeless addition to your wardrobe.
