But a cutting board

Here’s a little secret. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but there was a time when I thought a chopping board and a cutting board were exactly the same thing... (laughs).
After all, in English, the word "cutting board" is often used to refer to a chopping board, right? So, one day, I randomly decided to look it up and discovered, "Oh, they’re different... but how exactly?" I recalled this while writing this text.
Allow me to briefly explain the difference: it’s all about their "use." A chopping board is mainly for cutting meat, fish, or vegetables in the kitchen, while a cutting board is typically used at the table to cut bread, cheese, etc., with a bread knife.
Even the type of wood varies to suit different knives. Did you know that? I sure didn’t.

Now, let me introduce the CUTTING BOARD (L) from MOUNTAIN RESEARCH.
Back when I was a novice camper, I didn’t even have a cutting board, let alone a chopping board. Dinner usually meant slurping cup noodles with a friend while grilling beef tongue or scallops.
That was good in its way, but lately, my interest in outdoor cooking has grown, and the introduction of a chopping board and knife is still fresh in my mind.
I’ve experimented with making pasta, ajillo, paella, and foil-baked dishes. Welcoming this cutting board into my gear was a great decision. Using it to slice baguettes for ajillo or serve cheese and smoked treats resembles a casual French restaurant setup. It can also double as a makeshift trivet (though that’s at your own risk). Plus, the handles on both sides add a lot of convenience.
