One of the biggest appeals of garage brands is that you can find niche, distinctive items with a vibe that mass-production manufacturers rarely offer.
Founded in 2021, CTUG is one such garage brand from the U.S., producing standout UL (Ultralight) gear with a strong identity.

The main fabric used—X-PAC—has almost become a classic at this point. Sure, there are even lighter options out there, but in terms of overall balance—lightweight, waterproof performance, and durability—X-PAC is still one of the best materials available.
Much like Cordura or ballistic nylon once did, it has undoubtedly earned its place in the history of outdoor gear.

The use of contrasting two-tone colorways and the quirky little bird logo tag (you might miss it if you don’t look closely) give off that laid-back, independent garage brand energy—and we love it.
