Established in 1949 on Kume Island, Okinawa, KUMEJIMA OF KUMESAN is a distillery of Awamori liquor. It is committed to using spring water from the Doi water source in the northern part of Kume Island, which is renowned for its excellent quality. In recent years, the distillery has revived Imuge, a type of homemade distilled liquor from the Ryukyu Kingdom period, after a century-long hiatus.
