DETAILS

This Kohiki large-sized plate is carefully crafted by ceramist Tokuro Takimoto in Tsuno, a nature-rich town in the Miyazaki Prefecture. Kohiki is a type of pottery introduced to Japan from Korea and uses an inlay technique where the pattern is carved and white and wood ash glaze is applied and baked. The simple pattern can be paired with both Japanese and Western styles, and the durable nature of the plate is ideal for everyday use.

*Due to the fragile nature of ceramics and glass pieces, additional shipping charges may apply to orders including multiple items.
*Please note that there may be slight variations between each piece as they are produced manually.

Wanting to be immersed in nature, TOKURO TAKIMOTO set up his ceramics studio in rural Miyagi prefecture in 2011. With a focus on form and texture, Takimoto’s pieces are light and functional, and designed to fit seamlessly into the user’s daily life.
