真夏、日差しが強い時間から夕暮れまでの頃合いに、順番どおりに聴いたらいい感じではないでしょうか。
夏ゆえ全曲ブラジルで揃えたくなった次第。暑い日にキッチンで冷えた白ワインなど飲みながら、料理するときなどにも合いそうです。
１曲目では勝気な女の子が啖呵を切って恋人に別れを告げているのですが、５曲目は甘いラブソングで着地。 These songs work best played in order, from the height of the midday sun through to sunset.
Since it is summer, I felt like choosing an entirely Brazilian selection. They would also suit cooking in the kitchen on a hot day with a chilled glass of white wine.
The first track follows a strong-willed girl boldly ending a relationship, while the fifth brings the playlist to a close with a sweet love song.

ロサンゼルスで生まれ育った私にとって、運転中に音楽を聴くことは、特に夏の間、いつもインスピレーションの源でした。そんな記憶をたどりながら、これらを選曲しました。 Growing up in Los Angeles, listening to music while driving has been a constant inspiration for me, especially in the Summer so I thought of these songs.
ジャンルはさまざまですが、どの曲にもどこかバレアリックな空気が漂っています。何年も聴き続けている曲ばかりで、繰り返し聴きたくなる大切な音楽です。 They span a few different genres, but all are somehow balearic...
今は東京を拠点にしているので、車を運転する機会はあまりありませんが、これらの曲を聴くたびに、カリフォルニアで過ごした夏の景色や空気が鮮やかによみがえります。 I have been listening to many of these tracks for years and keep coming back to them. As I am now based mostly in Tokyo, I don't get to drive as much but this music reminds me of summer memories in Cali.

シューズデザイナーとしてキャリアをスタート。その後、ヴィンテージバンダナを用いたシャツ制作をきっかけに活動の幅を広げる。2018年にアパレルブランド〈MIYAGIHIDETAKA〉を設立し、現在は〈Rafu〉のデザイナーも務める。 Miyagi began his career as a footwear designer before expanding his practice through shirts made from vintage bandanas.
In 2018, he founded the apparel brand MIYAGIHIDETAKA and now works as a designer for both MIYAGIHIDETAKA and Rafu.

「夏」という音を、言葉で説明するのは難しい。しかし私は昔から、楽曲のなかにその季節を感じさせる響きが宿っているものに、惹かれてきました。 It’s difficult to articulate what evokes the sound of summer, but I always liked that quality in a song.
ここで紹介する5曲は、それぞれ異なるかたちで、私にとって「夏」の気配を感じさせてくれる楽曲です。 These five songs all have that summer sound to me, but in different ways.
Canの「Future Days」には、水面がきらめくような明るい楽観性が漂い、一方でBrian Enoの「In Dark Trees」には、夏の熱気とどこか不穏な空気が共存しています。 Can’s, Future Days, has a shimmering bright optimism, yet In Dark Trees by Brian Eno is somehow hot and ominous.
私にとって夏は、一年でもっとも高揚する季節です。しかし、日が長くなる一方で、夏至を過ぎた瞬間から日は少しずつ短くなり始める。始まったばかりだと思っていた夏が、すでに終わりへ向かっている。その前向きさと儚さ、期待と憂いが入り混じる緊張感を、Burialの「Shell of Light」は見事に捉えているように感じます。 Summer for me is the peak of the year. Yet as much as the days grow longer, once we reach the summer solstice, the days already start to shorten and it’s almost over as soon as it’s started. A tension between positivity and melancholy, something that Burial often captures, especially in Shell of Light.

オレゴン州ポートランドを拠点に、ブランド〈gnuhr〉、〈Goldwin 0〉をはじめとするさまざまなプロジェクトを手掛ける。 Nur Abbas runs his studio in Portland, Oregon, where he and his team designs the brand gnuhr and work on other projects, notably, Goldwin 0.
〈Maison Martin Margiela〉、〈Louis Vuitton〉、〈Nike〉、〈UNIQLO〉、〈YEEZY〉など名だたるブランドで培った経験を背景に、ハイファッションの感性とウルトラライトの思想を融合。機能性と日常性を横断する独自の視点から、パーソナルギアやアパレルの新たな可能性を切り拓いてきた。 His experience comes from brands like Maison Martin Margiela, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Uniqlo and Yeezy, infusing high fashion sensibilities into the ultralight ethos.
自身のスタジオでは、実用性を軸に据えたプロダクトデザインを追求。都市と自然、ファッションと機能の境界を軽やかに行き来するものづくりを実践している。 Nur’s expertise marks a significant evolution in how we think about personal gear and apparel, connecting ultralight functionality and everyday life.
