Based on the concept of "COMFORT and FREEDOM," MARMOT CAPITAL offers unisex outdoor-inspired clothing that seamlessly transitions into everyday streetwear.
The GRADATION JACKET and GRADATION SHORTS―a nylon set-up with distinctive garment-dyed gradient tones―are now available in COVERCHORD-exclusive PURPLE and GRAY colorways.
MARMOT CAPITAL is an apparel line born from Marmot, the American outdoor brand founded in 1974.
The line is directed by KIKUNO, who works across various fields as a designer, creative director, and model behind PURPLE THINGS.
While drawing from Marmot’s archives, the brand proposes outdoor wear with a sense of freedom and versatile.
COVERCHORD featured an interview with KIKUNO when MARMOT CAPITAL launched in the 2023 AUTUMN/WINTER season, exploring her philosophy and creative vision behind the brand.

The GRADATION JACKET and GRADATION SHORTS from MARMOT CAPITAL feature lightweight nylon material, finished with garment dyeing done meticulously by hand.
This special COVERCHORD-exclusive edition is crafted in an original colorway, transitioning from PURPLE to GRAY in a custom gradient design.
While COVERCHORD usually carries only WOMENS sizes, this exclusive release will also be available in MENS sizes.

MARMOT CAPITAL
MARMOT CAPITAL is a new apparel line launching from the outdoor brand Marmot, founded in the U.S. in 1974, debuting in the Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
Directed by Kikuno, designer of the menswear brand PURPLE THINGS, this line draws inspiration from Marmot's archives, offering versatile outdoor wear with the concept of COMFORT and FREEDOM.

Kikuno
Born in Tokyo, Kikuno grew up immersed in music and street culture from an early age.
After studying photography, she spent four years in San Francisco and London before returning to Japan and launching her own brand, PURPLE THINGS, in 2015.
In addition to directing brands such as MARMOT CAPITAL, Kikuno is also active as a model.
