featuring pop illustrations inspired by everyday scenes in Nakameguro.

A COVERCHORD exclusive from Japanese bag brand TEMBEA will be released on Saturday, April 4th, 2026.

Founded in 2004 by designer Atsushi Hayasaki, TEMBEA takes its name from the Swahili word for “wander.” Rather than prioritizing function through compartments or pockets, the brand embraces a philosophy of unrestricted use, offering a sense of freedom and ease.
For this exclusive collection, four signature models have been selected: BAGUETTE TOTE MINI, BAGUETTE TOTE SMALL, FLAT POUCH MEDIUM, and a DRAWSTRING BAG. Each piece is crafted using an original fabric developed specifically for this project.

Inspired by the Meguro River that flows past COVERCHORD Nakameguro, the collection features newly illustrated artwork printed on cotton canvas.

The illustrations are hand-drawn by TEMBEA’s Miku Shiraishi, depicting quiet moments along the riverside, from dogs on leisurely walks to details of the neighboring SIDEWALK COFFEE STAND, including coffee cups and benches.
Subtle COVERCHORD logos are also incorporated into the artwork, marking this collaboration with understated detail.

Balancing a sense of playfulness without feeling overly pop or whimsical, the collection expresses TEMBEA’s distinctive aesthetic in a way that feels just right for everyday use.

A tote bag designed to carry a baguette, made from cotton canvas woven with combed yarn on a shuttle loom. The MINI size offers just enough depth to fit a 500ml bottle, ideal for carrying daily essentials.

A tote bag designed to carry a baguette, made from cotton canvas woven with combed yarn on a shuttle loom.
The handle is positioned toward the front, making it easy to carry over the shoulder even when carrying longer items like a baguette.
The SMALL size fits A4 documents.
