KAMIMURA
Sho

Do you know how to drink awamori?
When you hear the word awamori, you might have an image of it being very strong and difficult to drink.
Especially for those who don't drink much, it can be intimidating and they might not know the best way to drink it.

So, let me introduce you to Sho KAMIMURA, which is highly recommended for people who like a drink, and also for those who don't drink much.

Firstly, Sho is said to be an evolved form of awamori, which is Japan's oldest distilled spirit.
It was created in the fall of 2019 as a unified brand using the same production method by 12 awamori distilleries in Okinawa.
Among them, KAMIMURA stands out with its sweet rice malt flavor and the floral notes reminiscent of citrus, thanks to the hibiscus yeast. Although it has an alcohol content of 40%, it doesn't have the harshness typically associated with awamori and has a very mellow taste.

As for how to enjoy it, I recommend mizuwari, which means to dilute it with water.
Place some ice in a glass, pour Sho KAMIMURA to fill about one-third of the glass, then add water until it's about nine-tenths full. Use a stirrer to gently mix it together.
Some might feel that diluting awamori is a waste, but remember, as with any drink, you can enjoy it however you like.
