HOES CRAFTED BY EXPERT INSOLE ARTISANS
FOOTWORKS.

"You're 175cm? You don't look it."
I've heard that line more times than I can count. Lately, I don’t even bother correcting people anymore, but let me set the record straight—
it's the posture.
I’ve always had poor posture. I struggle to sit upright for long periods, often slouching or leaning back without realizing it. Maybe that's why I find people with good posture so beautiful—there’s an elegance to how they carry themselves that I really admire.
Which brings me to a new brand we’re introducing this season that might just help with exactly that.
FOOTWORKS is a Japanese brand specializing in custom-made insoles, with the aim of improving your body from the ground up—literally.
The designer originally worked as a professional insole craftsman. Wanting to create shoes that would maximize the performance of his insoles, he decided to develop the footwear himself.
If you’re curious, their shop in Minami Aoyama offers a custom experience where they analyze your footprint, posture, and walking habits to create insoles tailored to you. Highly recommend checking it out if this sounds up your alley.
I first discovered FOOTWORKS through a seasonal lookbook for another brand. At the time, it was the minimalist design that caught my eye.
But the more I read about their approach—using design to help correct physical discomfort and posture—the more intrigued I became. It’s a rare combination of form and function that keeps pulling me in.
At COVERCHORD, we’ll be carrying two models: a pair of Tyrolean shoes in men’s sizes, and sandals in unisex sizing. The sandals will be arriving a bit later, so feel free to contact us if you're interested.
One important note: both models will be available in-store only. No online sales. We want to take the time to help customers choose the right size and talk through their posture or fitting concerns properly—just as this kind of footwear deserves.
