Versatile footwear
from ASICS WALKING

I first became interested in fashion during my second year of high school.
It all started with a TV drama that was airing at the time, which sparked my interest in clothing. Back then, I couldn't afford to buy as many clothes as I can now, so I enjoyed putting together outfits with affordable brands and vintage pieces, often taking inspiration from magazines.

Even though I didn't have a large wardrobe, I think I've always been particular about shoes.
At first, I was drawn to streetwear. I entered raffles whenever new NIKE Dunks or YEEZY sneakers were released, hoping to get my hands on a pair. That habit has stayed with me, and even now, I can't help wanting the latest sneakers whenever a new release comes along.
These days, I tend to dress simply, choosing clothes with beautiful fabrics and clean silhouettes. My taste in footwear has also shifted toward more refined styles that work naturally with the rest of my wardrobe.

With that in mind, one pair that really surprised me recently was the LIFEWALKER M010 from ASICS WALKING.

Honestly, if COVERCHORD hadn't carried them, I probably never would have thought to try them on.
They're walking shoes designed with comfort and ease of movement in mind. While their lightweight construction and easy on-and-off design are obvious advantages, what I appreciate most is how well they work with everyday clothing.

They have a slightly old-fashioned charm that adds just the right amount of character to a simple outfit.

I especially recommend wearing them with tailored trousers.
Pairing these shoes with an otherwise polished look gives the whole outfit a more relaxed, effortless feel.

And since shoes are ultimately something we wear out, price is another important factor.
It's becoming rare to find a good pair of sneakers for under ¥10,000. At this price, I can wear them without worrying too much, and I'm already thinking about picking up another color.

They run slightly large, so I'd recommend trying them on before purchasing.
