女性のボトムといえば、パンツかスカート。When it comes to women’s bottoms, there are pants and there are skirts. Pants may seem to have the upper hand these days, but I’m definitely a skirt person.
昨今はパンツ派が優勢な気がしてますが、私は断然スカート派です。一言にスカートと言っても、ロング、ミディ、ミニ、タイト、フレア、プリーツ、マーメイド、ギャザー、バルーン、サーキュラーなどなど、バリエーションが豊富。And there’s no shortage of choice: long, midi, mini, pencil, flared, pleated, mermaid, gathered, balloon, circular, and the list goes on.
柄や素材まで組み合わせたら星の数ほどあります。Add different patterns and fabrics, and the possibilities are almost endless.

トレンドもあり、個人的には残念に思うスカート自体が不作のシーズンもありますが、いつでもスカートを探してます。Trends come and go, and there are seasons when, disappointingly, I can hardly find a skirt I like. Still, I’m always looking for the next one.
そんな中、〈and wander〉の展示会で出会ったこちらの「OCTA FLUFFY SKIRT (W)」。That’s how I came across the OCTA FLUFFY SKIRT (W) at an and wander exhibition.

え、軽い！そしてなんだか暖かい！（「OCTA」という素材のおかげ）。シルエットは裾のドローコードを調整することでバルーンにもできます。My first thought was: it’s so light. And surprisingly warm, too, thanks to the OCTA fabric.

ボリュームがあるので、ウエストのウェービングベルトをギュッと絞って着るのが可愛い。このデザイン性の高いシルエットに、機能素材を組み合わせるところが、〈and wander〉ならではの個性だなと思います。The drawcord at the hem can be adjusted to create a balloon silhouette, while the generous volume looks especially good with the webbing belt pulled tight at the waist. P

ついつい同じシルエットのスカートばかりが増えてしまいますが、これがあればマンネリも回避できそう。airing such a distinctive silhouette with technical fabric feels very much like and wander.
軽くて楽ちんな上に、いつものスカートとはちょっと違う雰囲気を楽しめるので、毎朝ついつい手が伸びる一着になりそうです。I tend to end up with skirts in similar shapes, but this one feels like an easy way to change things up. Lightweight, comfortable, and a little different from my usual choices, it feels like the kind of skirt I’ll keep reaching for in the morning.
