The GEL-KAYANO 14 is a reinterpretation of the ASICS retro running shoe from the 2000s, updated with new coloring and mesh uppers for town use. The name ASICS is an acronym for the Latin phrase “anima sana in corpore sano” which means “healthy soul in a healthy body”. The brand began in 1949 by manufacturing basketball shoes, and soon widened their range to include top performing running shoes, sportswear and sporting equipment.
