Ichinojyo Asahi 25% is one of ASAHI’s signature honkaku shochu. It is made using 2.5 times the amount of brown sugar than usual Asahi, which gives it a more distinct brown sugar aroma and a sharp, crisp drinking sensation created by using black koji.

ASAHI was founded in 1916 on Kikai Island in the Amami Islands, Kagoshima Prefecture. They are committed to organic farming of sugarcane and rice on their own farm and continuously challenge themselves to create new things. Their name ASAHI translates to “morning sun" which can be seen first from Kikai Island as it is located furthest east in the Amami Islands from the sea.
