This single flower vase is from the MUSBI series, which takes inspiration from Matsuo Bashō's concept of "Fueki Ryuko", which roughly translates as "constancy in change".

GATO MIKIO SHOUTEN was originally founded in 1908 in the town of Yamanaka Onsen in Ishikawa Prefecture. It dedicates itself to preserving traditional processes to create authentic and long-lasting lacquerware pieces, while pursuing functionality with contemporary artistry. It has won numerous design awards and has established their own laboratory in order to pass down their expertise to future generations.
