Komaki Brewing, founded in 1970 in Satsuma Town (former Miyanojō) in northern Kagoshima, uses natural spring water from the Shibosan mountains. All rice and sweet potatoes are locally sourced, and traditional Satsuma clay pots give their shochu a rich, earthy flavor—a hallmark of Komaki’s authentic craftsmanship.
