The M1906RRD from the new 1906R series is a reimagined model of the iconic 2000s New Balance running shoe, the 1906. It features a stylish and cohesive color scheme, with a combination upper of lightweight, breathable mesh material and gray-tone colors. The upper includes TPU heel support and N LOCK, which enhances saddle support by connecting the N logo with the shoelaces. The sole unit has been updated to a high-spec sole boasting excellent shock absorption and rebound.

Founded in Boston in 1906 by British immigrant William J. Riley, NEW BALANCE was a producer of arch support inserts until 1960 when they manufactured the world's first running shoe with a ripple sole, the "Trackster". Unlike many athletic shoe companies, NEW BALANCE has not moved its manufacturing offshore and still maintains its production facilities in the USA and UK.
