Ceramic artist Kenichi Suno is based in Ishioka, Ibaraki Prefecture. His roots are in traditional Kasama-yaki pottery, which is a ceramics style from the 1800s. Adapted for modern daily use, Suno's pieces are simple and lightweight, often finished in muted tones to elevate the dishes served on them.
