Founded in 1887 in Shuri, Okinawa, ZUISEN is one of the "Shuri Sanka," the three places in Shuri Castle Town where sake brewing was permitted during the Ryukyu Kingdom era. The distillery has a long history of inheriting the tradition of Awamori and aged sake. The name ZUISEN comes from the famous spring that used to flow inside the Shuri Castle.
