COVERCHORDが、〈Unlikely〉へ別注したカプセルコレクションが、5月23日 (土)に発売される。The exclusive capsule collection created by COVERCHORD with Unlikely will be released on Saturday, May 23rd.
春夏のお出かけにちょうどいい、軽やかなトータルコーディネートを楽しめる3型を、IVORY / BROWNの柔らかなカラーリングでラインナップ。Arriving in soft IVORY and BROWN tones, the collection features three styles designed for effortless spring and summer outings and relaxed seasonal layering.
2023年、クリエイティブディレクター・中田慎介によって始動した〈Unlikely〉。Founded in 2023 by creative director Shinsuke Nakada, Unlikely reinterprets elements from different eras and functions through the lens of American uniforms, creating products that feel both familiar and unexpected. アメリカンユニフォームをベースに、それぞれ異なる年代や用途の要素を横断しながら、機能やディテールを再編集。“ありそうでない”感覚を落とし込んだ、独自のプロダクトを生み出している。The collection was inspired by the feeling that the clothes you truly love never really change.
本別注コレクションの着想源となったのは、「好きな服は、結局ずっと変わらない」という感覚。 子供の頃からずっと惹かれ続けてきた“定番”をベースに、今の気分や感覚を重ねながら再構築した。Built around timeless staples that have remained favorites since childhood, the pieces are reimagined through a contemporary perspective and mood.
ラインナップは、ニットTee、ワークパンツ、バックパック。 IVORYとBROWNを基調とした穏やかなカラーリングが、海沿いの街を巡るような、どこか肩の力の抜けたムードを演出する。The lineup includes a knit tee, work pants, and a backpack. The calm IVORY and BROWN palette evokes the relaxed atmosphere of wandering through a coastal town, bringing an easygoing mood to the collection.
ベーシックなアイテムでありながら、随所に〈Unlikely〉らしいユーモアや違和感を忍ばせ、静かな個性を感じさせるコレクションに仕上がった。Subtle touches of humor and unexpected details characteristic of Unlikely give these everyday pieces a quiet individuality.
ちなみに、コレクションタイトル“Forever Young”は、とある名曲へのオマージュ。 世代や年齢を超え、それぞれの日常に寄り添いながら、長く愛されていくことへの願いが込められている。The collection title Forever Young is a tribute to a well-known song, expressing the hope that these pieces will continue to be loved across generations and become part of everyday life.

1980年代、アメリカ西海岸のサーファーやスケーターカルチャーに着想を得たニットTシャツ。A knit tee inspired by the surf and skate culture of the American West Coast in the 1980s.
ヴィンテージアイテムから抽出した配色をベースに、〈Unlikely〉ならではのアレンジを加えたマルチボーダー。The multi-border pattern is based on vintage color palettes, reworked through Unlikely’s distinctive perspective. インラインではリリースのない IVORY を基調に、オリジナルボーダーパターンで制作した。Featuring an original border design centered around IVORY, a color not released in the inline collection.
オーストラリア産の長綿をコンパクトスビンで紡績した、ソフトな風合いのニット素材を使用。リラックス感のあるシルエットに仕上げている。Made from a soft knit fabric using compact-spun long-staple cotton sourced from Australia, the tee is finished with a relaxed silhouette.

Unlikely UNLIKELY SKATER’S WORK PANTS for COVERCHORD
1980年代のヴィンテージワークパンツをベースに、まるでスケーターが穿き込んだような風合いを表現したワークパンツ。Work pants inspired by vintage workwear from the 1980s, designed with the worn-in character of a pair broken in by skaters over time.
擦れた色落ちや自然な汚れを特殊加工で再現し、〈Unlikely〉らしいゆとりのあるサイズバランスと掛け合わせた。インラインではリリースされていない、IVORYカラーを採用している。Faded tones and subtle signs of wear are recreated through special processing, combined with Unlikely’s signature relaxed proportions.
縦横に強撚糸を使い、高密度に織り上げたカツラギ生地に、混紡繊維へ染め分けを行う二浴染めを施すことで、奥行きのある表情と柔らかな風合いを実現。The pants are finished in an exclusive IVORY color not available in the inline collection. The high-density cotton drill fabric is woven using tightly twisted yarns in both the warp and weft, then garment-dyed with a two-bath dyeing process to create rich depth and a soft texture.
サイドポケットとバックポケットを備えた、リラックスフィットの一本。Finished in a relaxed fit with side and back pockets.

インラインでリリースされている「UNLIKELY “EQUIPMENT” 2DAY BACK PACK」をベースに、1DAY仕様へとサイズダウンした別注モデル。An exclusive downsized version of the inline UNLIKELY “EQUIPMENT” 2DAY BACK PACK, redesigned into a more compact 1DAY version.
大きく開閉できるメインポケットやPCスリーブ、フロントのマルチポケットなど、機能的なディテールはそのままに、日常使いに適したサイズバランスへ再設計。Functional details such as the wide-opening main compartment, PC sleeve, and front multi-pockets remain intact, while the overall size has been adjusted for everyday use. Inspired by classic outdoor bags from the 1970s, the design is updated in exclusive IVORY and BROWN colorways introduced for this collaboration.
