日々のうつわを見つけるDiscovering Tableware for Everyday Life "北岡幸士 個展"KOJI KITAOKA SOLO EXHIBITION
〈北岡幸士〉さんの個展が、いよいよ始まります！Koji Kitaoka’s solo exhibition is finally here. 今回は、COVERCHORD Nakameguro、Fukuoka、Online での同時開催です。2年前の冬に開催した個展から、今回は季節を変えての開催になります。This time, the exhibition will be held simultaneously at COVERCHORD Nakameguro, Fukuoka, and Online.
定番の「カフェオレボウル」や「飯碗」に加え、夏に活躍する「蕎麦ちょこカップ」も数多く制作していただきました。年々運動不足を感じているのですが、届いた作品を開梱した翌日はしっかり筋肉痛に（笑）。Following his winter exhibition two years ago, this edition arrives in a new season. Alongside signature café au lait bowls and rice bowls, Kitaoka has created a wide selection of soba cups, perfect for summer. それくらいに、たくさんの作品が並ぶ見応えのある個展になります。北岡さんのうつわは、一見シンプル。けれど、そのシンプルさの裏には、釉薬を探究し続ける姿勢と、丁寧な試行錯誤が積み重ねられています。I have been feeling increasingly out of shape, and the day after unpacking everything, I was genuinely sore. That gives you an idea of just how many remarkable pieces have arrived.
よく見るとうつわの表情はひとつひとつ異なり、そのさりげない個性に惹かれてしまいます。じっくり見比べて、細かな違いを楽しみながら選んだうつわは、日々使うほどに愛着が深まっていきます。At first glance, Kitaoka’s tableware appears simple. Behind that simplicity lies his continuous exploration of glazes and a careful process of trial and refinement.
私自身、前回の個展で「カフェオレボウル」をお家に迎えました。Look closely, and each surface reveals a different expression, with a subtle individuality of its own. カップとして使うのはもちろん、しっかりと深さがあるので本当に万能。ご飯やスープ、小鉢代わりにも使えますし、今の季節は素麺のおつゆを入れるのにもぴったりですよ。Taking the time to compare these details makes choosing a piece all the more enjoyable. The more it becomes part of everyday life, the more personal it feels.
料理を盛ることで、その魅力がより引き立つのも、北岡さんのうつわならでは。毎日の食卓にすんなり馴染み、使うほどにその良さを実感できるうつわ達です。I bought a café au lait bowl at the previous exhibition. It works beautifully as a cup, but its generous depth also makes it incredibly versatile. I use it for rice, soup, and small side dishes, and in the warmer months, it is also perfect for serving somen dipping sauce.
初日は、COVERCHORD Nakameguro に北岡さんが在店してくださいます。Kitaoka’s tableware becomes even more expressive when filled with food.
