The outdoor sports gear brand NNormal, recently arrived from Mallorca, Spain, has just landed in Japan.

Launched in 2022 by world-renowned mountaineer and trail runner Kilian Jornet in collaboration with the footwear brand CAMPER, NNormal has quickly gained attention for its innovative trail running shoes, attracting athletes worldwide.

COVERCHORD is proud to be the first fashion and lifestyle select shop in Japan to carry NNormal, offering coordinated looks with their products.

NNormal

In the beginning

NNormal is an outdoor sportswear brand created by Kilian Jornet, a world-renowned mountaineer and trail runner, in collaboration with the shoe brand CAMPER, originating from Mallorca, Spain.

Launched in Europe and the U.S. in the fall of 2022, NNormal’s products are designed in Mallorca and rigorously field-tested by Kilian in the fjords of Norway, where he trains.

The brand name combines "Nor" from Norway and "Mal" from Mallorca, symbolizing the concept of "No-Normal," which means breaking away from the ordinary and forging a new path.

Kilian Jornet
 

Kilian Jornet, often referred to as the "Michael Jordan of trail running," is one of the world’s best mountain athletes.

Raised in a mountain hut in the Pyrenees, he has won numerous championships and races throughout his career, dominating both the mountain skiing and trail running scenes. Kilian is also an exceptional alpine climber, having become famous for climbing Everest twice in six days without oxygen, radios, or ropes.

Now based in Norway, Kilian continues to challenge his limits in nature as an athlete while also raising awareness about environmental conservation and climate change.
