The weather is finally starting to cool down, and it feels like time to reach for a light layer again.
Wasn’t this summer way too short?

As someone who loves summer, I’m a little sad that the days of heading out in just a T-shirt are coming to an end.
But as someone who loves clothes, I’m also glad the season for layering shirts, wearing knits, and thinking a little more about styling is finally here.

Lately, I’ve been spending a bit longer in the morning deciding what to wear.

One piece that feels just right for the current weather is nonnative’s RANCHER L/S SHIRT P/N BACK TWILL.
Made from a polyester-nylon fabric with a matte finish and just the right amount of structure, it has a slightly outdoorsy feel despite being a shirt.
The subtle sheen of the fabric is another detail I like.

The chest pocket details and buttoned straps inside the sleeves also stand out, and it looks especially good with the sleeves rolled up.
Brown feels like the obvious choice for autumn. Then again, black is hard to resist too.

It’s the kind of piece that makes you want to think about what to wear with it.
Easy as a shirt, but just as useful as a light outer layer through the coming season.
