Launched in 2022 in Okayama, Hinoe is the studio of artist Hitsuji Fujimoto, specializing in handcrafted shimenawa decorations. The artist personally prepares materials—from rice planting, green harvesting, and rice harvesting to sorting—and carefully creates each piece, focusing on traditional forms of shimenawa passed down in Okayama and neighboring regions.The brand name Hinoe (丙) means “sun,” symbolizing a good-luck charm that guides you toward the light.
