The Ionosphere 5 is an insulated winter condition air mats made with heat-reflective TLT technology and 100% recycled insulation. The thick and comfortable mats are designed to insulate alpinists, climbers, and explorers in harsh environments. Designed to a tapered mummy-like shape for a lightweight finish.

RAB began in 1981 in Sheffield, UK where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Carrington's experience from years spent in the mountains was apparent in his hand-stitched designs, and soon there was popular demand from friends and the growing local climbing community. In the following decades, RAB began producing a full range of high-performance mountain clothing and equipment, providing excellent protection and comfort in all conditions.
