Taking inspiration from Japanese textiles, this light yellow mug's design is inspired by Awa Shijira fabric, produced by the Japanese ceramic kneading technique, neriage.

A graduate of the prestigious Musashino Art University, ceramicist Hanako Sakashita established her studio in the renowned Japanese ceramics town of Mashiko in 2011. Drawing influence from traditional Japanese textiles, Sakashita employs ‘neriage’ production techniques to create her intricately patterned pieces.
