Founded by designer Atsushi Hayasaki in 2004, TEMBEA is a Japanese bag brand. The name TEMBEA means wander in Swahili, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of offering bags with a minimalist design, free from compartments and pockets. This approach emphasizes the freedom and comfort of using the bag in any way the user desires, rather than the convenience of having a designated place for everything.
