TARAGAWA is a distillery of Awamori, founded in 1948 on Miyako Island, Okinawa. It uses high-quality, mineral-rich water sourced from the underground Taragawa stream that springs from the foothills of Kaminobe. It continues to use traditional unglazed Nanbankame jars that have been passed down since our foundation. The Awamori is stored in a cool and dark room to preserve the traditional Ryukyu method.
