When choosing clothes, everyone experiences moments of wishing for the perfect coordination, grappling with new styling ideas. This trial and error process can be enjoyable, but there are times when accepting personal insecurities can be discouraging.

Today, we introduce POLYPLOID, a brand we highly recommend for those moments of styling uncertainty. Established in 2017 by Isolde Auguste Richly in Berlin, Germany, POLYPLOID is a unisex brand offering a versatile choice for your wardrobe.

The designer has experience as a designer and pattern maker for various fashion brands in Germany and across Europe. While appearing basic at first glance, POLYPLOID stands out with its unique sense of color and the perfect sizing that creates an airy space between the body and the clothing.
Having lived in Japan in the past, Isolde Auguste Richly leverages both Japan and Germany as production bases, carefully selecting materials and manufacturing processes best suited for each task. This approach is undoubtedly influenced by her extensive background and experience.

The SS 2024 collection draws inspiration from experiences in outdoor activities near the Alps in Austria and the outskirts of Berlin. This collection features items reminiscent of mountain activities and functional materials, as well as pastel and earth tones that evoke the sky and nature seen from mountain peaks.

The fabric of the coat features a unique graphic inspired by mountain contour maps, generated using AI and enlarged to a low resolution. This original design is printed on Olmetex's brand-original ripstop, providing a distinctive and durable texture.
The design is integrated into a classic TRENCH COAT silhouette. Having this piece in your closet is sure to transform your everyday styling.
The TRAVEL SUIT PANTS are easy trousers featuring a drawcord. Made from a refined drapey fabric that also offers stretch, they provide a stress-free wearing experience. The technical expertise is evident not only in the design but also in the comfort. The brand name POLYPLOID is derived from the biological term "polyploid," and the collections are structured into three categories: A, B, and C.
Based on the foundational designs, POLYPLOID selects materials and colors that align with the concept of each category. This approach creates a collection with depth and breadth, offering a diverse range of pieces.

COVERCHORD Nakameguro will be hosting a POLYPLOID POP-UP from Friday, May 24th, to Tuesday, May 28th, 2024.
