The Coffee Glaze Plate by COVERCHORD, made in collaboration with ceramic artist Moriyama Isamu, utilizes ash from coffee grounds, reusing grounds from SIDEWALK COFFEE as glaze.

Itaru Moriyama is a ceramic artist from Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture. After nine years of studying the art of Amakusa ceramics in his hometown, he relocated to Spain to further his training. After returning to Japan, he trained under renowned ceramicist Teppei Ono before opening his studio in 2014. Using mainly raw materials from Amakusa, he seeks to “Create vessels that harmonize with food.”
