I've always had an affinity for things made from wood.
My childhood home was built from wood, and even my elementary school had a predominantly wooden design.
My grandfather was a carpenter, and he made all sorts of things for me with wood, so I associate it with a feeling of security. Even when I started living on my own, I paid attention to the wooden flooring and chose an apartment with a wooden floor I liked.
