I prefer eating ice cream while saying "It's so cold!" rather than "It's so hot!"—firmly making me a winter person. Even in the depths of winter, you'll find me strolling with an ice cream in hand.
However, as the air grows colder, my perpetually freezing extremities remind me of how much I struggle with poor circulation.
Right now, as I type this, my icy hands and feet are proof that winter has arrived.

This year, Naoki Kanazawa’s solo exhibition aligns perfectly with this chilly season.
Previously held in summer or early autumn, the exhibition now embraces winter—a season I deeply love.
There’s something magical about winter's crisp air, soft light, and frosty mornings.
Inspired by these unique winter “sceneries,” Kanazawa created pieces centered on the theme of "Winter Landscapes."

Not only do these pieces reflect winter's natural beauty, but they are also perfect for a cozy winter dining table—warming both body and soul.
One standout piece is the gratin dish, the first item I thought of when envisioning a winter table.

Using heat-resistant clay, which comes with its challenges, Kanazawa delivered a stunning piece with his signature charm.
Featuring generously-sized handles, these gratin dishes are both practical and adorable.
I can already imagine filling one with bubbling macaroni gratin and savoring it, bite by bite.
And of course, no winter meal is complete without ice cream for dessert.
The exhibition showcases an extensive range of Kanazawa’s works, as always.
