Today marks the beginning of Mahito Kudo Potter's solo exhibition.
We've been showcasing his work for about six years, including the ROOTS to BRANCHES era, and this year, we are thrilled to host his long-awaited solo exhibition.
Personally, I love Kudo-san's pieces not only for their simplicity and ease of use in everyday life but also for the playful touches and warmth they exude.

With every new collection, there is always something fresh, and despite nearly 40 years in his career, I am continually amazed by Kudo-san's unrelenting curiosity and passion for exploration.
This exhibition aims to capture and convey the essence of his creative spirit.

Thanks to Kudo-san's strong sense of curiosity and consideration for the user, he created a truly beautiful oval plate after multiple prototypes. It's definitely a first-come, first-served situation!
For this special occasion, I made numerous requests to Kudo-san, who graciously accommodated my whims. Among these, my top recommendation is this oval plate. While I initially hesitated to ask a wheel-throwing master to create a molded piece, I couldn’t resist the idea of seeing an oval plate in Kudo-san’s unique color palette.
Together with his wife, Shizuka, we eagerly pitched the idea to him, saying, "Wouldn't an oval plate be perfect? It would look so charming, right?" And he agreed to make it.

Of course, there are plenty of other works on display, making this a very engaging exhibition.
While some pieces are available online, the in-store collection at Coverchord Nakameguro is far more extensive.
